Mycotoxin testing laboratory at i2 FAST
Mycotoxin Laboratory UK (Ltd) is now part of the i2 group and allows i2 FAST to introduce new mycotoxin testing to their growing portfolio of services.
Mycotoxins are naturally occurring toxins produced by moulds during either the growth and/or storage of approximately 25% of the worlds food crops
At i2 FAST we can offer mycotoxin testing services to include:
Aflatoxins B1, B2, G1 and G2 (and total)
Ochratoxin A
FFA%
PV meq/kg
Moisture % in nuts and seeds
Moisture % in dried fruit and high sugar products
With UKAS accredited tests for a range of products and in accordance with the internationally recognised standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017, Mycotoxin Laboratory naturally compliments the group of services offered at i2 FAST.
The mycotoxin testing laboratory and service is fully accompanied with extensive technical experience gained by the Mycotoxins Laboratory over the years to help you interpret your analytical data, providing help and guidance where required.
What is a Mycotoxin?
Mycotoxins are low-molecular weight, chemically diverse toxins that are produced naturally by moulds found contaminating crop plants and fruit. They can cause a wide range of acute and chronic effects, for example Aflatoxin B1 is the most potent natural carcinogen known to man and Ochratoxin A causes damage to the liver, kidney and immune system.
